During Covid restrictions, through the ingenuity and dedication of our music director, Lisa Scyner, our choir members continue to participate in providing musical offerings for the service through technological means.
Music has always been and continues to be an important part of Carman United Church and the Carman Choir has been a big part of that throughout the years. Our Choir has many devoted members – some have been with us for over 40 years! Most Sundays we present a musical offering and help to lead the congregation in worship. We have also had an occasional choir, children’s choir and men’s choir to complement special worship services. Carman Choir has participated in local festivals, presented special musical evening events and added to the fun during special theme Sundays (Elvis Sunday, U2 Sunday, Canadian Music Week Sunday, January Jazz). We meet Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary and work on a wide variety of musical styles! All are welcome.
